VODEC Africa Empowers Young Entrepreneurs at the Entrepreneurship and Career Fair Summit 2023 in Accra

On 6th March 2023, VODEC Africa, a non-governmental organization that focuses on empowering African youths in entrepreneurship and career development, held a summit in Accra. The summit was aimed at helping young entrepreneurs realize their dreams and provided a fertile ground for experience sharing, blending concepts, and insightful deliberation under the theme “Harnessing and exploiting the 21st Century Economic Opportunities in Entrepreneurship and Career Development “.

Participants from across the country attended the Entrepreneurship and Career Fair Summit, which provided opportunities for networking, with entrepreneurs gaining an avenue to meet investors and industries to market their brands. During the event, Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Hon. Elizabeth Naa Kwatsoe Tawiah Sackey advised entrepreneurs to persevere and be resilient, maintain a positive attitude, and keep pushing forward. She also highlighted the importance of being confident in pitching an idea or product and encouraged upcoming entrepreneurs to stay committed and dedicated to their businesses.

The Founder and General Overseer of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh advised entrepreneurs to move from success to significance by transforming their mindset and serving humanity. He stressed the need for entrepreneurs to apply discipline and learn to network with other experienced entrepreneurs.

Mr. Daniel Asomani, the founder of VODEC Africa, stressed the need for entrepreneurially driven curriculums to be infused in the education sector and for change to happen in educational institutions’ mindsets. He emphasized the need for fairs and summits where entrepreneurs of different categories can come together to interact, learn and grow through networking opportunities.
