UHAS SRC court of Justice places Injunction on vetting process..

The UHAS SRC Court of Justice in a letter to the UHAS EC Chairman yesterday placed an injunction on the vetting process of aspiring candidates which was due to take place yesterday, Friday March 22, 2019.
PETITION
A petition which was addressed to the Chief Justice, His Lordship Akugri Malik Adam of the UHAS Court of Justice by Mr. Yeboah Kwame Isaac Local NUGS president of the Ho campus, UHAS, raised issues on the breech of Chapters/Articles 46 and 47 of the UHAS SRC constitution which had clear set rules on the vetting processes.

Mr. Yeboah Kwame Isaac was bothered by the fact that the SRC did not have a legal adviser who is a key member in the vetting committee yet a vetting committee had been formed to start the vetting process of aspiring candidates.
He also mentioned the SRC parliament had not nominated and approved of any two parliamentarians to be in the vetting committee which also is a requisition by the UHAS SRC constitution with regards to vetting of aspiring candidates for various SRC Administrative portfolios hence popping the question, “who exactly were members of the vetting committee and where did they come from?”.
Mr. Yeboah Kwame Isaac prayed the Judicial Committee place an injunction on the election process, ban all campaigns and restart the electoral process so matters with regards to chapters 46 and 47 of the UHAS SRC constitution were duly followed.

COURT INJUNCTION
A letter address to the UHAS EC Chairman, signed by His Lordship Akugri Malik Adam, Chief Justice of the UHAS Court of Justice instructed the EC to halt all vetting activities which were scheduled to take place yesterday and subsequent days marked for the very same process until further notice as there have been various breeches of Chapter/Article 47 of the UHAS SRC constitution.
It is unclear at the moment when issues with regards to the vetting processes will be resolved and if major changes will be made on the election time table.
