UDS thumps NUST of Zimbabwe in African Student Football Union Cup, Nigeria 2019

Fresh-off winning the 2019 Mini-GUSA Games trophy, the men’s football team of the University for Development Studies is participating in the on-going African Student Football Union Cup (ASFU) in Nigeria.
The competition launched late last year, has six (6) universities from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Liberia, and Ghana joining seven from Nigeria.

UDS’s first match of the competition was against the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) – Zimbabwe.
The first the first half ended 3 goals in-favour of UDS, with the match-ending result being a flattering 6:2.

The African Student Football Union is an initiative of the International Student Football Union (ISFU) to ensure growth of football among students on the continent.
The maiden Africa Students] Football Union (ASFU) invitational championship is being hosted by Nigeria.
The competition is also for qualification to the International Student Football World League, 2019/2020 season in Russia.

It has six (6) universities from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Liberia, and Ghana joining seven from Nigeria.
