The University of Cape Coast, UCC has on Thursday, April 9, 2020, released a revised academic calendar to resume academic work.
The decision which comes at the back of an emergency meeting held by the Executive Committee of the Academic Board on Wednesday, April 2020 has considered and approved activities and events in the bid to ensure the continuation of academic work.
This comes as notice to Provosts, Deans, and other academic officials from the Director of Academic Affairs, Mr. Jeff Teye Onyame.
Following this notice, teaching and learning will be held online via the Moodle Platform.
The said period for teaching and learning which has been scheduled to run from Wednesday 22nd April to Tuesday, 2nd June 2020 would be dependent on the COVID-19 situation in the country hypercitigh.com understands.
UCC, however, insists that the current timetable would be the guide for academic work.
“The current teaching time-table would continue to be in use to guide students’ self-directed reading and real-time interactions based on weekly activity to be prepared by Lecturers”.
The notice further explained that the dates for revision period, second continuous assessment and end of semester examinations would be revised as COVID-19 conditions improve.
“The revision period, second continuous assessment (quizzes/assignments) and end of semester examinations would hold on the scheduled dates subject to the normalisation of the situation persist beyond May 2020, new dates for revision and end semester examinations would be communicated to members of the University later”- Executive Committee of Academic Board.
