2020 UPAC: TTU Tops Group A with win over UPSA

- Advertisement - can confirm Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has topped Group A of the special edition of the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

TTU beat University of Professional Studies (UPSA) 46-42 in a close contest that had UPSA shock fans gathered at the Tema Community 4 Court.

The win is TTU’s second in as many games in the competition that commenced earlier today and is set to conclude later on Wednesday, December 30 at the same location.

UPSA Power Forward Emmanuel Larbi popularly known as Meat Pie was the toast of fans as almost single handedly led UPSA to an upset win over the much fancied TTU side.

Ahmed drives to the basket

Mustapha Ahmed of TTU produced the highlight moment of the game with a two handed alley oop dunk on a fast break.

TTU got points from multiple players with Center Mustapha Ahmed again stepping up late with crucial blocks and shots to ice the win for his team. TTU beat Kings University College 48-16 in the opening game of the competition.

UPSA is due to play Group B’s best team in the semifinals with TTU taking on the second ranked team in Group B.
