Wisconsin’s Director of Public Affairs and Marketing, Mrs. Victoria Chimbwanda, said: “Beauty comes and goes, but an education lasts a lifetime. That is why Wisconsin decided to sponsor Miss Malaika 2018 by offering a scholarship package to the overall winner.
She added: “At Wisconsin, we firmly believe in the upliftment of women. As the adage goes: if you educate a woman, you educate a nation – so we are confident that the benefits of this scholarship will reach far beyond the individual who has won it.”
Mrs. Chimbwanda intimated that the beauty queen is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor and senior management, embark on a campus tour and interact with staff and students.
Miss Malaika 2018 was organised by Charterhouse Ghana. Judges for the finale were Joselyn Dumas, Jackie Appiah, Naa Ashorkor, James Gardiner and Lexis Bill.
