Students of the University of Energy and Natural Resources(UENR) can finally heave a sigh of relief following the introduction of 3 brand New buses to help the bus deficit on their campus.

On Monday 16th November, 2020 the Students Representative Council (SRC), under the auspices of Mr. Joseph Adomako Jnr introduced three buses, one TATA Bus, two Coastal Buses to students amidst the busing deficit which has for some time become a strong concern over the unsatisfactory services of the University Buses.

Every year, students from UENR visit KNUST to practically perform their classroom knowledge which, on 29th October, 2019 engendered an unfortunate incidence of fire outbreak with their 2017 registered TATA Bus on their way to Kumasi.

With students’ agitations during that time and a new SRC being inaugurated, the President Mr. Joseph Adomako promised to bring an end to the ‘hardship’.

Speaking hypercitygh, the SRC President, Mr Joseph Adomako Jnr said the buses are meant to further improve the University transport system and lessen the burden staff and students face when large numbers of people are to be transported.

He also happily stated the Dormaa Campus will have one bus of the three as he promised them. Currently all the three buses are in Sunyani.
