The University of Energy and Natural Resources, led by the Vice Chancellor; Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako and Bono Regional Police Command has commissioned a police post initiated and funded by its Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at a short ceremony today, 20th April, 2021.

It will be recalled that in 2020, the Joseph Adomako led administration of the SRC commenced the project when incidences of crime had hiked particularly on the GETFund Hostel-Zinko stretch where the facility is located. In fulfillment of his campaign promise, the Wiafe Richard administration which took office in January 2021 completed the project by finishing with ancillary works.

In what seemed like a drama, the handing over ceremony was done in the absence of SRC Officials. Both the President and his Vice who had sat for papers at the time of the event in the ongoing end of semester examinations missed the ceremony eventhough had prepared to be there.

Mr. Michael Yaw Berko Tawiah (L) and Mr. Wiafe Richard (R) were spotted at the reception of the GETFund Hostel when the ceremony had ended.
