All roads this evening lead to the basketball court of the SRC Hall as the finals of the fiercely contested SRC inter-hall e-games comes off from exactly 6pm.
The SRC inter-halls e-games competition which is being organized as a bridge gap and form of recreation during this covid-19 era began yesterday with the preliminary round happening at the Valco forecourt.
The tournament which began with 32 players comprising of the best 4 gamers from each hall, had 8 groups of 4 players each contesting in an all play all at the group stage with the top two players from each group qualifying to be part of the16 to play out the knockout stages set to happen this evening.
Of the 16 finalists , ATL is the only hall to have all four of its presented players advancing into the 1/16th stage. KNH follows with three slots in the final 16, with CASFORD , Valco , SRC , and Superannuation having 2 slots each in the final 16. Oguaa Hall has just 1 of its players advancing to the 1/16th with GRASAG left out as none of its players made it out of the group stages.
Ahead of the finals this evening, the SRC through its Sports Secretary is expected to release the official pairings and list of the final 16 as well as outdoor the road to the grande finale which is expected to take place by the close of today.
A special competition for the ladies is also expected to take place simultaneously at the SRC basketball court.
