When Your Urine is….

1. Transparent or Clear without pigment.

This colorless or transparent urine is sometimes due to drinking an excess of water, while other times it can signal a problem with the kidneys. If your urine is consistently clear or absent of color, you should see a doctor as there may be underlying health problems like diabetes mellitus, insipidus and excess hydration.

2. Pale Yellow or Gold urine

When everything is healthy and normal, your urine should be pale yellow to gold. It’s a sofn that a person is healthy and hydrated.

3. Transparent Yellow

Having a transparent yellow urine means you are fine or your urine is normal like pale yellow but with this you a more hydrated than in the pale yellow. When you’re staying hydrated, your urine will be a light yellow, close-to-clear color.

4. Dark Yellow

Dark Yellow urine is most commonly due to dehydration. However, it means that your are fine or normal but you need to drink more or additional water. Dark urine is most commonly due to dehydration. However, it may be an indicator that excess, unusual, or potentially dangerous waste products are circulating in the body.

5. Brownish Orange

Orange urine may mean you are dehydrated and need water. It could also mean you could have a liver or bile duct condition. It could also mean you ate something containing food dye.

6. Pinkish Red

Having a red or pink urine may mean you have blood in your urine (hematuria) or it could be a sign of kidney disease, urinary tracts infection, tumors or a prostate problem.

7. Blue or Green

This color of the urine is very rare and could be caused by a rare genetic disease or a bacteria causing a urinary tract infection.

8. Cloudy or Foamy

Having a cloudy or Foamy urine can be a sign of a urinary tract infection, an overabundance of certain minerals, a symptom of a chronic disease or sign of a kidney condition.

It is helpful to regularly pay attention to your urination to see what your normal color is, so that you can tell when it is different.Dark urine is most commonly due to dehydration. However, it may be an indicator that excess, unusual, or potentially dangerous waste products are circulating in the body.
