Professional development allowance will be added to your November salary – NAPO assures teachers

Ghana’s current Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku says the much advertised professional development allowance will be added to both professional and non-professional teachers November salary arrears.

The Manhyia South MP in an interview monitored by Georgeweb.org indicated professional and validated teachers this month will receiveGH₵ 1,200 and GH₵ 800 for non-professional and unvalidated teachers.

“The regions are compiling the data of the teachers, by November this year all teachers will be paid their Professional Development allowance, it will be added to their November salary”, NAPO told host of Kokrokoo show’.

The Minister of Education explained that the professional development allowance which teachers will receive every 12 months is to support the professional development of teachers in the country.
