“…I stand alone now but who said I was ever standing alone?” Said Megborna after bagging for the second year in a row an award from the Spoken Word category at the Ghana Literary Awards organized by the Ghana Association of Writers on Saturday, 16th in Accra.
“I’m glad that the work that I put my heart and soul and every dime into is gradually paying off. Thanks for anyone out there listening, streaming or listening to my works. At the MEGBORNA Concert happening in just 13 days (30th Nov) at Africa Hall Dining Hall, we will not only have a concert but we will celebrate.
Thank you all and I’m eternally grateful to the powers that be. This one right here is for the culture. The Spoken Word Artist was captured saying this a few minutes after bagging the award.
This is the second Spoken Word award to have placed second at the Spoken Word category. First was in 2018 when is works, What If and So we mourn won him. This year he bags the award for the second time in a row with his Spoken Word album AGOO (Silver Words) which was released almost two years ago on December 24th, 2017.
With a second album set to be dropping somewhere in 2020, an EP or two, all produced by his in-house producer (@3nity_gh), a couple singles and over 50 features, all to drop in 2020.
MEGBORNA is one of the most sort after spoken word Artist and he modestly says, he’s getting started.
