An initiative launched on the 31st March 2021 by the Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) – KNUST local has sparked controversies among members of their campus political rivals, TESCON (Tertiary Students Confederacy) as they claim the internal division within the association has fueled their counterparts to take over campus even in opposition.
A screenshot purported to have emanated from the association’s official WhatsApp platform saw a member passing a derogatory comment as he captions a photo of TEIN SPOTLIGHT beneficiaries receiving their packages saying, ” Opposition party doing the most, ( y3wc afuom ha na gyimie nkoa ) translating as “and we are down here fooling”
Another member in his response giggled with a laughing emoji, stating that while others are busily working in opposition, they are is busily creating divisions among themselves.
ABOUT TEIN SPOTLIGHT
The TEIN SPOTLIGHT is a new GiveAway initiative launched by the TEIN KNUST local under the auspices of Theophilus Berchie and Ebenezer Opoku Banks to surprise active members of the society as the academic semester ends.
The initiative according to the association is to help intensify their bond, encourage new members to join the association and also serve as a recognition of the passion and commitment exhibited by any member of TEIN KNUST.
Already the 1st batch of beneficiaries have received their packages, they include.

Another initiative by the association that has gained admiration from the public space is the TEIN ACADEMIC HUB. The initiative aims at helping comrades of the association with learning materials and past questions to enable them to sail through their academic ambitions
