KNUST Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rita Dickson has indicated that Obuasi campus will enjoy free WIFI and more shuttle services to convey students to and from campus.
The KNUST Obuasi campus SRC leadership called on the KNUST Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Rita Oduro Dickson, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at her office on the KNUST main campus. The team led by Master Joshua Ntim-Gyimah paid the Vice-Chancellor the much-needed visit to lay pertinent issues concerning the welfare of students before the Vice-Chancellor and to seek her advice.
Issues concerning campus transport, library system, internet connection, non-resident lecturers, the KNUST scholarship fund, and the need for data packages. The VC assured the executives that the transportation problem is being addressed as more camp rides will be provided on campus were discussed. The Vice-Chancellor noted that the issue of WIFI was solved during the lockdown period hence Obuasi campus students will enjoy free WiFi on campus.
Finally, Prof. Ms. Rita Oduro Dickson advised the SRC executives to study hard, learn to combine leadership with academics, and do well to excel at both.
