JUST IN: UENR SRC Elections 2021-Joel Korankye Bugbil (Mkay) and Benjamin A. Lugu Merge

Two SRC Presidential aspirants; Mr. Joel Korankye Bugbil and Mr. Benjamin Amenuveve Lugu of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani have agreed on a merger to contest this year’s SRC elections as Presidential Candidate and Running Mate respectively as announced in a letter signed by their campaign coordinator; Mr. Prince Dadzie.

In a short profile of the team according to the release, “Mr. Bugbil, popularly known a ‘Mkay’ comes with a ‘Journey Together’ ideology whiles Mr. Lugu brings a ‘Come Along’ vision. The two have contributed generally to the progress of UENR as a developing institution in their capacity as junior members through student activism and voluntary work under various committees, clubs and societies.”

On why they merged, the letter reads, “They strongly believe that after nearly a year’s service as Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE)-UENR President and Member of Parliament for Biological Sciences Students’ Association, their achievements together with the beliefs and principles they both uphold are a clear indication of their ability and preparedness to serve as a team at the highest office of the UENR
SRC.”

It is expected that the Electoral Commission of the UENR SRC will open nominations tomorrow, 19th July, 2021 for interested persons in various SRC offices to pick forms.
