There is news making rounds that the Member of Parliament for Jomoro constituency, Hon. Paul Essien has caused the arrest of a resident from Tikobo No.1 known as Ibrahim Adams.
It is rather unfortunate that at this time and age, the NDC opposition party in Jomoro will take delight in such pettiness and a frivolous way of doing politics.
Being economical with the truth, the NDC forgot to tell the whole world that the arrest was caused by the brothers in law of the MP who upon hearing that their sister had been verbally assaulted by Mr. Ibrahim Adams lodged a complaint. It is public knowledge that Mr. Ibrahim Adams had on a number of occasions verbally assaulted their sister which necessitated the complaint. The NDC in their puerile attempts to score political points had no option than to draw the visionary MP into this mischievous propaganda.
The complainants are brothers in law of the MP in Tikobo No.1 and not the MP as purported. The MP has no hand in it but, it is the brothers in law who consulted the law enforcement agency to act accordingly.
Barely a month after the NDC party launched its campaign team in Jomoro, one is expecting the party to propagate the messages that they have for the people of Jomoro and not to engage is such childish propaganda.
But what do we see, they are always running to Social Media platforms to falsify issues all in the name of petty politics and cheap propaganda.
If they wants us to remind them of their track record, it is their own former MP of blessed memory, the Late Lee Ocran who masterminded the arrest of people who expressed their opinions rightfully in the constituency.
Their Communications Officer, Patrick Ellonu, recently threatened to get a woman who is an ardent supporter of Hon Paul Essien arrested for exchanging words with him. We know that, intimidation is the NDC’S stock in trade and we will not succumb to that frivolous and propagandist tool.
To set the records straight, the MP of Jomoro has not ordered for the arrest of that miscreant and recalcitrant guy called Ibrahim Adams from Tikobo No.1 who has a penchant for insulting people in the community, because he feels he is an ardent supporter of the NDC and that, no one can do anything to him, something he goes about bragging.
This has become a disturbing reality that people have to endure as he is deemed as a recalcitrant person who has lost touch with human values.
I do not fault the Jomoro NDC for showing empathy on the arrest of Ibrahim Adams. That is their civil right,but as politicians we should not entertain and encourage bad behavior in communities we all strive to make as haven/ conducive place to live.
This uncultured lifestyle has become one too many, and needs to be condemned by all right thinking persons in Jomoro.
If what is happening now makes any justification of the vehement attacks on the MP, then,it gives me clear evidence that there are some people in the NDC in Tikobo No.1 who have instigated the boy to rain insults on the woman for no apparent reason.
No serious political party will take delight in such pettiness.
The MP for that matter, is seriously serving his constituents with many projects such as;
- Construction of admission wards at Samenye, Tikobo No.1 and Elubo.
- Construction of New Town Wharf virgin road.
- Provision of clean water for the people of Elubo Zongo, Fante New Town Compound and many more.
4.Making sure our youth are employed where by
93 youth have been recruited into GES enjoying their monies now and 120 are in the offing.
5.More than 90 young men and women across Jomoro recruited into the various Security Services.
- Has lobbied for some critical town roads networks to be constructed in communities like Tikobo No.2, Tikobo No.1, Bonyere, Ndumsuazo,Adu,Takinta and many. Also the Samenye to Jaway Wharf road construction is ongoing.
These and many more are the reasons why the visionary MP, Hon.Paul Essien will not waste his precious time on any useless publication linking the MP to the arrest of that lazy individual who insults for a living.
We dare the NDC in Jomoro to compare the records of their MPs on Youth Employment with that of the current MP,Hon.Paul Essien.
The NDC in Jomoro has tried everything possible to tarnish the image of the MP but have failed woefully. We will urge them to join the winning party if they can not beat the party NPP.
The MP is focused and determined to making sure that he serves his constituents with all humility and respect that they deserve. Maintaining the seat is the choice of the constituents themselves.
All we say is that;
