Former Deputy Minister of Communications under the NDC, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has alleged that Metro TV has axed their new anchor, Bridget Otoo due to threats from the Akuffo-Addo led administration.
Bridget Otoo was unveiled yesterday as the newest addition to the Metro TV crew.
The former TV3 journalist was tasked to take the evening news as was advertise by the television station yesterday.
But according to reports, the journalist was not on the screens yesterday. Celebrity news outlet, GHBase.com alleged that the outspoken journalist was allegedly ousted by the station on a government directive.
In fresh allegations, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has claimed that Bridget has been “yanked off” due to pressure from the Akuffo-Addo government.
He wrote: “The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government doing its level best to outdo Military regimes. It’s tentacles have reached Metro TV forcing them to yank off their newest anchor amidst threats against the management of the station.This is after brazenly closing down Radio Gold and MuntieFM.”
