The National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has described the presidential candididate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama as an obstacle to the development of the Ghanaian youth.
Sammi Awuku noted that John Dramani Mahama and his party failed to implement sustainable policies and programmes aimed at promoting the welfare of youth development.
Speaking on Citi TV’s Point of View, Sammi Awuku adviced Ghanaians to reject the opposition NDC because the party has little to offer.
“Mr. Mahama remains the biggest obstacle to the advancement of our youth development. In 2008, the NDC did promise that they will legalize Galamsey activities so there was a mad rush for people to go into that venture yet the government at the time stayed aloof. They did not regulate these activities and this led to the pollution of our environment,”he said.
Sammi Awuku is the Board Chairman of the National Youth Employment Agency(NYEA)and he is known for his advocacy for the youth.
