The English Language was handed over to us by our colonial masters, herein the British. It was a means through which the locals effectively communicated with their masters to enable them to trade.

Years after they left the shores of Nigeria and Ghana, we still use the language which we acquire through formal education. Although some people erroneously measure people’s intelligence by the seamless way they ‘flow’ in the language, that is not out intention here.
