The 39-year-old Information Communication
Technology (ICT) Teacher, Eric Asomani
Asante, has been crowned the most outstanding
Teacher for the year 2020. Mr Asante of Naylor
SDA Basic School in the Tema Metropolitan
Assembly, was revealed at the University of
Cape Coast, New Examination Centre, where the
grand ceremony for 2020 Ghana Teacher Prize
was held.
The Most Outstanding Teacher had to
sail strong competition from among fifteen (15)
finalists shortlisted from district and regional
preliminaries.
For his prize, he took away a miniature a three (3)
bed room self contained house that will be built
for him at a place of his choice valued at GHC
180,000.00. Mr. Asomani Asante demonstrated
evidence of how his teachings in the classroom
impacted his students past and present.
Gloria Anima Junior, Aboabo No.4 Presbyterian
Primary and Sandra Osei Akwatia Technical
Institute, took awards for first and second runner
up positions respectively.
Gloria received keys to a brand-new VW double cabin pick up whereas Sandra drove away
brand-new VW saloon car.
