BNI allegedly picks up 2 aides of former President Rawlings

Officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) have allegedly picked up two persons said to be aides to late former President Jerry John Rawlings on Thursday, November, 19.

According to available information, the incident ocurred between 6 am and 9 am.

Sources say the officials numbering about twenty showed up at the homes of the victims, Barbara and Thelma, and demand their mobile phones and other electronics.

Giving more details, a source said to be the daughter of one of the aides explained that the BNI officials also restricted the movement of the people in the house for several hours.

According to her, the armed men finally left after they had ransacked the whole house.

She said while an undisclosed amount of money was also taken by the men, members of the household have been left traumatised by the incident.
