On the 20th of March, the new black stars Coach was unveiled at SG Mall in Kumasi. The press conference brought a new sense of relief regarding issues of the black stars In the presser, the coach was asked a number of questions which in my opinion provided adequate answers devoid of any controversy

The coach was asked what his main setup will be and he very much stated categorically his main aim is to structure a winning squad that is the most important. The BLACKSTAR has never won an International trophy since 19th March 1982.

With regards to expecting a trophy, he was honest in his submission that what he can guarantee is to put a team that has the right mentality personality, and will, but first, we will need to focus on the qualification. we will need to trust the process and have to adjust the same process while maintaining the balance of using young players and much more experienced ones.

He defended Thomas Partey with regards to concerns he doesn’t perform in a Blackstars jersey as well as he does when wearing his Club Jersey Arsenal FC. He said His role has always been to manage games and this is why sometimes we don’t see his value. He categorized him as a continuity player and they are hugely important to the team and coach and we all should appreciate him.
