The University of Ghana Students Representative Council (UGSRC) has written a letter to university management demanding documentation on the purchase of some generators procured during the 2012/2013 academic year.
In the letter signed by President of the SRC, Sylvester Amoako, the council had given the university management a January 30 deadline to release all necessary documents.

“Last semester, we humbly wrote to Senior Management requesting for these documents. In a meeting held earlier last semester, between the SRC and Senior Management, there were plans to make these documents available to the SRC. Subsequently, the Vice Chancellor directed the Finance Director to release all relevant documents about the subject matter to the SRC,” according to the letter.

The council also indicated in the letter that it will hold an emergency press conference over the issue if the university management fail to release the documents by the end of January 2019.
According to the SRC, all attempts to get the necessary documents from the Finance Director of the university has failed despite a directive by the Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu.

“The Students’ Representative Council in conjunction with Radio Univers will hold an emergency press conference on the subject matter to discuss the way forward as students if this last appeal fail,” the letter stated.
