Desist from all kinds of radical and violent approach in solving issues -ABC Presser

The KNUST SRC President Mr. Adu Baah Charles and GRASAG President Maxwell Essan Mensah on Tuesday, 3rd September meet the media to clear the air on the latest happenings on campus.

The press briefing which was held at Engineering guest house saw the SRC and GRASAG leadership address several issues notably of the mixed-sex hall brouhaha which is feared to have started trickling in with plotted attempts on social media to resist the inclusion of females in Unity hall and University for the 2019/ 2020 academic year.

The purpose of this meeting is to give a brief message that seeks to tackle the progress of pressing issues surrounding our noble school, KNUST with respect to the conversion of unity hall, university hall and the status quo Mr. Adu Baah Charles noted in the presser.

Addressing the media on the position of the SRC, Master Adu Baah Charles retreated that, the SRC does not endorse any form of radical, violent and ruthless approach in resolving this issue which threatens the safety of students and defames the image of the university that has produced and still produces great personalities around the globe.

Mr Adu Baah Charles however noted that, the SRC as an actor has engaged in meetings with the Chancellor of the University, Nana Otumfour Osei Tutu II concerning resolution of student’s issues which the Chancellor said clearly that if the interest of students are overlooked by the dean and management of the University, we, the SRC should come to him and he will handle matters himself.

Commenting on the security of freshmen reporting on friday the 6th of September, He noted that the SRC prioritize the Security and welfare of students and therefore assure students that they are working to provide them with the unprecedented result that will provide the peace and safety of all students’ males and females.
