KNUST: CANaRSA EC disqualifies Presidential Candidate, Asante Ahmed from electoral contest

The Electoral Commission of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Students’ Association (CANaRSA) has announced the disqualification of leading presidential candidate, Mr. Asante Ahmed.

In a statement released by Mr. Woode Ocansey Daniel, the vice presidential candidate has failed to meet the CWA mark.

Antwi Alswell, vice presidential candidate for Ahmed Asante, failed to meet the constitutional requirements making their candidature invalid.

Further information revealed that Antwi’s current CWA is below 55 with trail. As per Article 15, clause 3 of the constitution, he is deemed unfit for Vice President and that automatically disqualifies Asante Ahmed from the race.
