President and Vice President Aspirant of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council (UGSRC) Samuel Amos Ofosu and Alfred Acquah have promised to make sure that the issues of bad Wi-Fi connectivity on campus are solved should they be chosen to lead the student body after the 2021 SRC elections.
Speaking at this year’s SRC aspirants vetting on Saturday, July 31, 2021, Presidential Aspirant, Samuel Ofosu Amos who is also popularly known as Nana B stated that fixing the Wi-Fi challenge on campus is of paramount importance to him and his running mate.

To solve the accommodation crisis on campus, Samuel Amos Ofosu disclosed that he and his team would look for hostels and compound houses around the University to help ease the burden on non-resident students.

The team also stated in their policy document that they are going to purchase a number of routers to supplement the existing, liaise with network providers to offer monthly data packages, and advocate for the continuation of the Wi-Fi extension project.
“The Samuel Ofosu and Alfred Acquah led administration intends to #FIX this challenge by initiating an SRC-led project that intends to procure a substantive number of routers in the interim to augment the existing ones, renegotiating with Vodafone Ghana and other network providers to offer monthly data packages at an affordable cost and advocating for the continuation of the WiFi extension project initiated by the incumbent administration.” The document stated.
Among other policies, the team has promised to make sure that each student in Level 200 and 300 gets the chance to an internship during a vacation.
The Electoral Commission of the SRC is expected to announce the vetting results on Monday, August 2, 2021.
