KNUST: Check out the category of students to re-locate to campus on June 15

Following the report by your most authoritative campus online news portal, hypercitigh.com on the school’s decision to complete the semester online, the University has on Friday, 5 June 2020 released an official statement to that regard.

The statement signed by the Deputy Registrar of the University, Mrs. Margaret Dzisi lends credence to the publication made on the fate of final years.

The release however recalls a category of students to re-locate to campus to complete the academic schedule.

Among such category of students include;

Students who have difficulty in assessing the on-line facilities will have the option to re-locate to campus from the 15th to 30th of June, 2020. This opportunity will be communicated through class representatives and further to Heads of Department.

Sixth year clinical students of School of Medicine and Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine are to report as well on the Monday 15th June, 2020.

Sixth Year Pharm D students will also report to school on  15th June, 2020 to engage Preceptors for 3 weeks with examinations at the tail end of the 3weeks stay.

Midwifery and Medical Diagnostics degree programmes will return to school for 2 weeks with effect from 15th June, 2020 to complete their practical work and assessment.

The statement further noted that, the University is in talks with Government to allow International students in their 5th and 6th year in the school of Medicine and Dentistry, 6th year in the school of Veterinary Medicine, 6th Year Pharmacy students and Final year Midwifery, and Medicine Diagnostics students, to return to campus for their clinical/ practical work.

Arrangements will be made for Students unable  to return as scheduled due to travel restrictions on his or her country.

The University however maintains that students within such categories will be examined and taken through the safety protocols as approved by the Ministry of Health on arrival.
