Hasaacas Ladies defeated Nigeria’s Rivers Angels United 3-1 to win the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League, WAFU Zone B on Thursday, at the Stade Robert Champroux in Abidjan.
Perpetual Agyekum restored the lead from a direct free-kick after Vivian ikechukwu had equalized Veronica Appiah’s opener in the first half.
Azumah Abugre sealed the win in the second half with a shot outside the box to secure the Ladies their first intercontinental trophy.

Coach BAzigi’s women have already qualified for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers to be held in Egypt later in the year.
The three-time Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions, have been the most consistent women’s team in Ghana and they will hope that translates to success in Africa.
They won the WPL and Women’s FA Cup double in the just ended 2020/2021 season.
