COVID-19: Ghana’s active case count nears 5,000

As of July 25, 2021, 450 new COVID-19 infections have pushed Ghana’s active case count to 4,983.

This was disclosed by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).

The number of confirmed cases currently stands at 103,019 with 97,213 recoveries.

823 people have however succumbed to the disease.

15 people are in critical conditions and 26 people in severe conditions.

The country has so far conducted a total of 1,416,952 tests.

The Greater Accra Regions remains the region with the most number of confirmed cases followed by the Ashanti Region.

Below are the cumulative cases per Region from highest to lowest:
