HESA Vetting: Kwame Adu (Proff Mega) leads presidential race, EC labels nomination allegations false

The Electoral Commission of the health students’ association (HESA), Mr. Emmanuel Osei Karikari has released the results for Sunday, May 30 2021 vetting of aspirants.

In the release, Mr. Kwame Adu affectionately called Proff Mega obtained the highest score in the presidential race. He managed to garner 78. 5% whiles his opponent secured 76%.

Prior to the close of the screening process on Sunday, rumour that made waves on several WhatsApp platforms suggested that Mr. Kwame Adu had filed false names and signatories as such most be withdrawn from electoral proceedings.

However, the Electoral Commissioner in a statement has debunked such rumours reckoning that Proff Mega exercised due diligence in filing his nominations.

This comes at the back of a stakeholder meeting with the presidential aspirants, the SRC electoral commissioner to validate Mr. Kwame Adu’s nomination form on Tuesday, June 2 2021.

“There was a concensus that all information provided in the nomination form by the aspirant was legit.” the statement reads.

The commissioner further called on elements within both parties to desist from peddling falsehood against any candidate.
