Interim student leaders of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has declared their intention to hold an election for substantive leaders of the Students Representative Council.
In view of that, they have asked students who will want to participate in the election by way of voting and contesting to register by February 28, 2021.
“The Interim Management Committee (IMC) will like to inform the general student body on its intention to conduct SRC elections as mandated. The IMC would further like to entreat all students who intend to participate in this election by way of voting and contesting to register for the first semester 2020/2021 academic year by 28th February 2021,” part of a statement signed by the interim SRC President, Bismarck Boateng reads.
Meanwhile, the Interim Management Committee says that it is collaborating with the Dean of Students Affairs on the mode of examination for the semester in view of the Covid situation.
The Committee says that a physical examination “would not be possible as a result of the fact that students did not rent hostels and apartments during the course of the academic year because of the online tuition this semester”
The IMC says that it has also “proposed a great reduction in the fees to the Dean highlighting the cost savings the school made especially in the areas of utilities and facility management”
