Opined by many Western Regional inhabitants, and outsiders considerably as the best school in the Western part of Ghana, Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) continues to register its name in the world of international competition, affiliation, and portfolios.
The school is also known for its remarkable record of producing excellent graduates who later become Giants, legends, and backbone of the Ghanaian, African and Global economy.
It is not surprising that the school registered its name in the Science and Maths Quiz’s Champions Book of Records in 2012, and rose to produce a student with the highest average score in the 2014 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Ghana Secondary Technical School’s National Science and Maths Quiz top contestant Abban Panti has gained admission to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Medical school.
This follows the remarkable chains of A’s he scored in all subjects in the just-ended WASSCE.
Although the two times NSMQ contestant couldn’t have his target as expected met in the year’s NSMQ contest, he has compensated his now alma mater with a perfect 8’s.
In other news, At the just ended Shenyang Aerospace International Students Matriculation and International College Student of the Year ceremony, Austin McHaizel, one of GSTS old students studying at the Shenyang Aerospace University clinched the top accolade as ‘Academic Model Student of the Year’.
Also Following the success journey from GSTS, one of its School’s past students, Dr. Sam Johnson who graduated in 1976 has registered his name in the Liberty University, Virginia, Athletic Hall of Fame.
