Singer, Fantana’s mum secures Jomoro parliamentary seat for NDC

Mother of musician Fantana, Dorcas Afo-Toffey, has been elected as the member of parliament for Jomoro.

She contested on the ticket of the NDC and defeated the incumbent, Paul Essien, who was seeking reelection on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

She polled 24,356 votes against Paul Essien’s 18,889.

Ahead of the election, Fantana went to the constituency with popular dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, and outdoored Dorcas Afo-Toffey to an excited crowd.

Reacting to this, the singer took to her Instagram account and congratulated her mother for doing her proud.

“Mom, You are the HOPE of JOMORO. YOU WON ! YOU DID IT! Born LEADER! You are for the PEOPLE ♥️ and we love you!!! I’m sooo proud of you. Jomoro, you guys are in good hands! The FINEST MP, THE REALEST ! Wo y3 GUY!!!! @dorcasaffotoffey .We are ready for you!”
