Advantages of free education
According to analysts, education can help the society eradicate poverty in Africa, which, after thinking about it I find it to be workable and relevant. This is because education helps melt ignorance, illiteracy and unnecessary pride. Instead, of all those, it helps simulate inventions, innovation and as such helps people to rise to global map.
Having that in mind, president of Ghana, Nana addo announced that there will be free education in Ghana. With most of the population in the country being low or medium income earners, the move could not come at a better time to help learners achieve their dream of completing their education. Initially, free education was at primary and junior high level. However, in a bid to be elected to office, the president promised to make senior high schools free.
Free education will help the people improve their living standards. Education helps the people epon their eyes and therefore brings a positive impact onto them. People start thinking positively as they get more enlightened on how to live a better life.
Free education will help the economy of the country by transforming it positively. Education for all means that everyone will have Basic expertise and that they will be knowledgeable fully equipped. Such knowledge and expertise will then be used to help solve some of the problems facing the economy in the country.
one cannot ignore the impact that free education will have effect on the industrialisation of dhe country. Innovation and invention is what education aims to achieve and as such, people will be more likely to create software and systems that brings more efficiency in the industrial process. Ghana needs to be on the forefront in industrialisation but that will not be if People do not have access to basic education.
Disadvantages of free education in Ghana
The planning the project seems to have been poorly done and as such is more likely to collapse. In any project, planning is very important and critical for it to be successful. In most cases, the planning takes more time than implementation, but this project seams rushed and as such, one wouldn’t be surprised to see a good project not live to achieve its objectives.
Free education for Ghana is a great idea that the president has brought to this country. There are many advantages associated with it and they cannot be ignored. However, while it is always good to stay optimistic in life , it is important to consider the possible drawbacks of the project. If these drawbacks are not addressed on time, then the project Might come crumbling down without achieving what the people hoped to achieve in the end
