UENR: Bugbil Korankye Joel to Hand Over as School of Engineering (GhIE) President


At a ceremony on Friday, 3rd September, 2021 inside the auditorium of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, newly elected executives of the school’s chapter of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) will be duly sworn in.

Joel Korankye Bugbil, who is popularly known as M.Kay will be recalled for his good works as President, although the impact of the CoVID-19 pandemic in his one year service to the Association.

The BSc. Petroleum Engineering Student who seeks to move on to the high office of the SRC and is running for President for that matter in the upcoming elections will principally be remembered for some of his achievements including industrial empowerment opportunities, capacity building, organisational development, technological empowerment, social responsibilities among others.

The handing over ceremony will see the presence of high profile personalities including Prof. Elvis Asare Bediako (Vice Chancellor, UENR), Ing. Prof. Dr. Nana Sarfo Agyeman Derkyi (Dean of Engineering), Ing. Dr. Emmanuel Nyantakyi (Chairman of GhIE- 3 Bono, Bono-East and Ahafo Regions), other staff of the University, Representatives of the SRC and the General student populace.
