Anthony Apatika Elected GhIE-UENR President

Mr. Anthony Apatika, third year BSc. Electrical and Electronics Engineering student of the University of Energy and Natural Resources has been elected President of the Ghana Institution of Engineering in last Monday’s polls.

Provisional results show that the incumbent President polled 609 votes, representing 68.89% as against 275 (31.11%) votes by his only contender; Mr. Daniel Kassah.

Release of official results by the Electoral Commission is on hold as four candidates in the vice presidential race have vehemently opposed the outcome, citing electoral flaws hence failing to sign consent forms by the Commission.
