The Electoral Commission of the Ghana Institution of Engineering – UENR has this evening released results of a vetting of aspirants for various positions in the GhIE and Women in Engineering (WinE) it conducted on Saturday, 24th July, 2021 and Sunday, 25th July, 2021.
Figures that have come in suggest that Mr. Emmanuel Swanzy-Baffoe; a General Secretary Hopeful topped the vetting with a whopping 89.7%.
The race between current Vice President; Mr. Anthony Apatika and Mr. Daniel Kassah Nsuison, current member of Parliament for Renewable Energy Engineering for the presidency was a close one as the former topped with a slim 0.3% difference.
Mr. Bawa Daniel Dangema and Mr. Arhin Kelvin Elijah topped the Vice Presidential and Financial Secretary portfolios respectively whiles Mr. Joel Kumi appeared unopposed for the organiser position.
With the outcome of the WinE vetting, Miss Gloria Bempah and Amanquah Ruth Korkor topped the Presidential and Vice Presidential categories with 89.4% and 81.9% whiles the General Secretarial and Organiser hopefuls also appeared unopposed.
In all, all the twenty-one aspirants were recommended to contest the ten offices in GhIE and WinE.
