Clement Amponsah of UG receives Queen Elizabeth House Departmental Scholarship at Oxford University

University of Ghana former Research, Teaching and Administrative Assistant, Clement Amponsah has received the prestigious Queen Elizabeth House Departmental Scholarship to pursue a 2-year Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies.

Clement as part of the mandatory National Service in 2020/2021, worked as a Research, Teaching and Administrative Assistant at the Department of Political Science in the University of Ghana.

The scholarship which is awarded to only one student per course within Oxford Department of International Development is a fully-funded scholarship covering 100% University and College fees + Living expenses for the 2-year period, Clement Amponsah wrote on his LinkedIn page.

Announcing this great feet, Clement narrated how colleagues down-played his ambition to pursue a master’s education at Oxford University in 2018.

Interestingly, he was spoilt with choice as a good number of top-notch universities equally offered opportunity to him to pursue his master’s education.

According to Clement, he received offers from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies Geneva Switzerland; York University Canada; Brandeis University, US; Ohio University, US and then came University of Oxford, UK.

The Queen Elizabeth House scholar encouraged others to set goals, dedicate them into God’s hands, staying committed and working towards it, and watch God do the rest!!
