A mobile application developed by the Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, has been adjudged the best in Africa according to a 2019 research done by a United States based organization, AppGrooves.

AppGrooves collects, reviews, and ranks  apps on the market and the Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Student Representative Council Campus App (WIUC SRC) app come top in Africa in the 2019 survey.

Of the over 6,000,000 Apps AppGrooves reviewed in 600 categories, the WIUC SRC came in first place in Africa and 53rd globally, in the category of Campus Portal.

Globally, the GCUF Portal App (Sahiwal Campus) came first position and High-Tech Campus Portal came in second position while Bhavans IESK came third position.

AppGrooves is a consumer-facing app discovery media, as well as SearchMan, the leading App Analytics Data & Technology Company with over 100,000 companies actively using their solutions to help them succeed in the App economy.

In an interview with the WIUC SRC App Editor-in-chief, Marshall Bobobee, he praised the SRC President and his hardworking executives for the development of the App.

“I thank the SRC President for the vision to get an app such as this for easy dissemination of information in the university community. Also, thanks tour hardworking developer who through his tireless effort brought us this far”, he remarked.

“We as managers of the App receive this good news as an achievement for the Administration and we will continue to work hard to put the students’ interest first in all that we do,” he added.

He called on students who have not yet downloaded the WIUC SRC App to do so and constantly monitor it for news updates, adding “we are in a digital age and one of the fastest and easiest way to disseminate information to the university community is the App”.

WIUC SRC app was developed by the Students’ Representative Council with the aim of giving the student populace a great campus experience, which great features such as; Pay Fees, Watch Live Events, Chat, Make Suggestions, Book a Wizzy Tutor and an OSIS Portal for checking results.
