The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says even though it has cancelled results of some candidates but it is working tirelessly to release the withheld results of candidates not found culpable in due course.
The Council said the delay in the release of the subject results follows alleged examination malpractice it detected during the marking of the scripts but will in the shortest possible time release all the withheld results.
A WAEC staff explaining the process the results currently pending investigations will go through said the department in charge of the scripts will after the conclusion of the scrutiny submit its report to the Council.
According to her, the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) will cancel the results of candidates it found involved in examination malpractice during the conduct of the national examination (WASSCE).
She, however, advised candidates who currently have their WASSCE results withheld but will have it cancelled after the investigations to register for the 2021 WASSCE for Private Candidates in other to better their grades.
