UHAS opens new basic school for children of staff

The UHAS Basic School (UBS) commenced operation with its first batch of pupils and 20 teachers on 26 January 2021. 84 pupils reported for the first day of classes, out of 180 admissions, comprising 42 boys and 42 girls from kindergarten 1 to Basic 7. After three days of operating, the enrollment figures climbed to 104.

basicsch headThe Head Teacher of the UHAS Basic School is Mr. Seth Korgah, an experienced teacher and educational manager with 29 years of experience in both the public and private sectors of education. He holds a Master of Educational Administration and Management from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

The Board of the Basic School is responsible for its strategic direction and is chaired by Professor Theophilus C. Fleischer, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, University of Health and Allied Sciences.
