First and final year students of the Akuafo Hall have been directed to vacate their rooms before Thursday, March 25, 2021 with all their belongings.
According to a notice issued by the Junior Common Room (JCR), this is “in order to make way for incoming Level 200s and 300s.”
“However, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science and Allied Health students are exempted,” the notice dated March 22, 2021 explained.
Payment of residential fees
Residents in the Akuafo Hall annexes C and D have been informed to pay their residential fees at Cal bank only.
A student is expected to pay an amount of GHS 267.00 for the the first modular.
Earlier, a press statement from the Public Relations Officer of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council announced new changes in the payment of some residential fees.
Residents of Mensah Sarbah Hall, Akuafo Hall Annexes C and D, Legon Hall Annex C, International Students Hostel 1 & 2, Valco 1 & 2, and Jubilee Hall are to pay only to CAL Bank.
Residential fees for the remaining halls other than the ones above can be paid at the other approved banks.
Disbursements of refundables
Beginning today, March 23, 2021, the Account Office of the Akuafo Hall will disburse refundables from last academic year.
Affected Level 400 students should go with their damages receipts from the 2019/2020 academic year to receive their money.
