University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani Records Five Cases of CoVID-19

Management of the University of Energy and Natural Resources have revealed that the school has recorded its first five cases of coronavirus involving a staff and four students.

This was through a report from the University’s internal CoVID-19 response team to the Executive Committee of its Academic Board on Monday, 8th February, 2021.

The affected staff and students are currently under self isolation while contact tracing is ongoing.

Also according to the Executive Committee, teaching and learning activities will be migrated online to reduce physical contact. Face-to-face lectures are expected to reduce from two hours to one hour while online lecture sections will be increased to two hours.

Administrative staff of the institution will also employ a shift working system, all in the bid to reduce infections.

Meanwhile, members of the University community have been urged to strictly observe all CoVID-19 preventive measures.
