The University Interdenominational Church (UIC) at the University of Cape Coast yesterday inducted Rev. Kwesi Amissah-Essel into office as the 2nd Head Pastor of the church.
Conducting the induction service, Rev. Nathan Adu Gyimah who retired from full-time active pastoral ministry at UIC on December 31, 2020, urged him to serve the church and endeavor to care for the congregation through counselling and declaring God’s forgiveness of sin.
He therefore charged the members of the Church to accord the new senior pastor the same respect and support given to him while he was their leader.
On his part, the newly inducted Head pastor of the church, Rev. Kwesi Amissah-Essel assured the church that he would continue to build on the legacy of all past pastors of the church.
He further noted that, with the guidance of the Church’s mission, he will champion the growth of the church and emphasized the need for the Church to think beyond the box, re-strategize and reposition itself for progress.
In an exclusive interview with ATLFMNEWS, Rev. Kwesi Amissah-Essel indicated that the church will under his leadership work hard to build physical structures were the youth can be gathered and equipped with knowledge that will help them to serve in various capacities in the world.
Rev. Kwesi Amissah-Essel revealed that the church will improve her virtual means of reaching people so that everyone on the University campus will benefit. The induction service was officiated by the Rev. Prof. Eric Bortey Anum, a former pastor of the church.
