During the exercise, one TEWU member who happened to be passing by expressed disappointment in the students, emphasising that they are the parents of these students in the university and their strike actions was to enable them get money to keep their children in school, so if the students are tidying up the campus, then it defeats the basis for their strike. He however encouraged the students to also add their voice to the call of TEWU for better conditions of service so that they can return to work, and students as well focus on their studies.
