UCC sets new date for Reopening of Fresh and Continuing Students

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has scheduled January 9, 2021 as the official reopening date for Fresh and Continuing Students for the 2020/21 Academic year.

The management of the University in a statement issued and signed by its Acting Director in Charge of Public Affairs, Major Kofi Baah-Bentum(Trd) on Monday, October 26, 2020. said the decision was in line with the President’s directives on the reopening of schools for the 2020/21 Academic year.

The statement further indicated that the detailed Academic Calendar for the 2020/21 Academic year will be announced in due course.

“Following the directive by the President of the Republic of Ghana for all Tertiary Institutions to reopen in January 2021 in a broadcast on Sunday, 18th October,2020,

the Management of the University of Cape Coast, hereby informs students, staff, and the University Community and stakeholders that:

  1. The first semester of the 2020/21 Academic Year will start from 9th January,2021 instead of the originally scheduled reopening date of 14th November, 2020.
  2. The detailed Academic Calendar for the 2020/21 Academic year will be announced in due course.” The statement said.
  3. The arrangement applies to both fresh and continuing students.
  4. The detailed Academic Calendar for the 2020/21 Academic year will be announced in due course.” The statement said.
