UCC begins 2021 career-oriented post graduate sandwich admissions

The Management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) is inviting application from qualified persons for admission into career-oriented post graduate programmes (Sandwich) of UCC for the 2021 academic year.

Deadlines for the submission of completed application forms according to the Cape-Coast-based university is April 30, 2021, adding that “no additional documents will be accepted after submission of application forms”                 

The admission application e-voucher card can be obtained from all the banks across the country including GCB Bank, ADB Bank, Prudential Bank, ARB Apex Bank, Zenith Bank, Republic Bank, and Consolidated Bank.

It can also be purchased via cash at the Cashier’s Office, University of Cape Coast, University of Cape Coast – Accra Office, Tesano – Accra, I-J Consult, Millennium City and at Ghana Post Company Limited.

The university in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh has said Ghanaian applicants will pay a fixed amount of GH₵ 220.00 for the e-voucher and USD$ 120.00 for International Applicants.

Entry requirements for career-oriented post graduate sandwich admissions

A candidate seeking admission to pursue an MA/MSc/MEd/MBA degree programmes must:

i. Have obtained a good first degree in an appropriate field of study from a recognized university.

ii. All Non-UCC Alumni are to submit an official transcript of academic record (UCC Alumni are to provide only their Registration Numbers).

iii. Satisfy additional requirement(s) prescribed by the College/Faculty/School/Department concerned, such as selection test/interview.

Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

A candidate seeking admission to the Postgraduate Diploma programme must:

i. Have obtained a first degree in a relevant area of study and taught for two years:

ii. All Non-UCC Alumni are to submit an official transcript of academic record (UCC Alumni are to provide only their Registration Numbers).

iii. Satisfy additional requirement(s) prescribed by the College/Faculty/Centre for Teacher Professional Development, such as selection interview.

In special cases, applicants with Third Class Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience may also be considered but will be required to attend and pass a selection interview.
