Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie, has pleaded with the Accra Circuit Court to release actress Akuapem Poloo for her child’s sake.
The celebrated rapper thinks it would be unfair to sentence Rosemond Brown “just because of pictures taken.”
Taking to twitter on Thursday, April 15, 2021, Sarkodie scored that “it’s a little harsh to separate a child from the mum just because of pictures taken…would want to plead with the law to pardon our sister.”

The Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday convicted the social media influencer for the publication of a nude picture with her seven-year-old son in June, last year.
She pleaded guilty to all three charges preferred against her.
As the law stipulates, Akuapem Poloo must under a pregnancy test before the Court sits on the case tomorrow, April 16, 2021.
Legal experts say Rosemond can serve a jail term of three years or be fined for the offence.
Social media go wild
The pronouncement by the presiding judge, Ms Christiana Cann, has since attracted mixed reactions from Ghanaians on social media.
Most users of social media say the decision by the court is harsh.

As a mother (ME) who is raising a son, Akuapem Poloo did NOTHING wrong. NOTHING.

So the courts thought separating Akuapem poloo, a single mother and sole provider from her son would be the best move? Interesting

About the Akuapem Poloo saga. If you want to plead on her behalf, just do so without comparing her offense to other crimes. Like ‘Nam1, Nyantakyi bla bla ‘ . 3no y3 gyimie kasa. Like by now Nsawam be empty. Just condemn her act, and plead for her freedom #FreeAkuapemPoloo
