Some students of the University of Energy and Natural Resources have registered their displeasure at the appointment of Master Collins Frimpong-Manso as speaker of the Students Representative Council’s legislative assembly by the incumbent president H.E Joseph Adomako Junior.
According to them, his appointment comes at a time when he has served in the erstwhile administration which was bewildered with issues of corruption although he resigned as the organizer of the administration.
They believe he hasn’t been audited and cleared of these charges that have come up against him and brings his work to disrepute. They claim he was seen for instance sharing money during voting time, influencing people to vote for him. “Initially he was going for Tescon president but he rained insults on then president and had to pull out and find somewhere else” a student lamented pointing to he indulging in politics of insult and as a result, believe he is not “morally inclined to occupy that position.”
They say that there are a lot of students who qualify for the position and thus do not see why he seems to be the only choice of the president.
