University Of Ghana Suspends 2nd Semester Exams For International Students

An official letter, addressing all members of University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), was released with the authority of the Association President at the University of Ghana, Dr. Samuel Nkumbaan, on August 15, 2021. 

It states that a letter was received from the management of the university regarding the final examinations for the international students of the university. It goes on to state claims that management issued certain directive to suit that scenario even though a clear response has not been given to that effect.

 The Executive committee of the Association at the university wish to reiterate that no such directives are being followed and encourages all members to follow suit. The letter also clearly states that the Association representatives of UTAG are still with the association on the case of withdrawal of teaching and other related services until something has been done about the strike action.

On August 16,2021, an official statement has been released by the Director of Academic Affairs of University of Ghana, legon regarding the second semester final examinations for the international students of the university. The statement declares the official suspension of any such final examinations related to the 2020/2021 academic year.
